Data processed locally

Core tarot draws and astrology calculations are designed to run in the browser. Saved readings, saved birth profiles, and privacy choices use local browser storage unless a future user deliberately enables cloud sync through Astrarium Plus. Clearing site data in the browser removes local records.

Place-name search

When a user types a city or town into place search, that text is sent to the Open-Meteo Geocoding API to retrieve coordinates and a time-zone identifier. Birth date, birth time, tarot question, and chart result are not included in that search request. Users can enter coordinates manually instead.

Device geolocation

The “use device coordinates” action invokes the browser’s geolocation permission. Astrarium receives coordinates only after permission is granted. Those coordinates are used for the visible form and calculation and are not automatically uploaded to an Astrarium account.

Advertising and optional measurement

Advertising and analytics are disabled until the relevant production identifiers are configured. The privacy banner offers essential-only or optional consent. Optional services may set identifiers or receive technical information such as IP address, browser, device, viewed page, and ad interaction according to their own policies. A suitable consent-management platform will be added before advertising in jurisdictions where it is required.

Payments

Paid checkout will be handled by Stripe or platform billing in native apps. Payment-card details are entered with the payment provider and are not stored directly by Astrarium. Astrarium may receive account identifiers, subscription status, amount, currency, renewal date, and transaction references needed to provide access and support.

Cloud accounts and sync

Cloud sync is not enabled in the initial local-first foundation. Before it launches, this policy will identify the authentication and database providers, data categories, retention rules, export method, deletion method, and subprocessors. Local use will remain available without creating an account.

Retention and deletion

Local records remain until the user deletes them or clears browser site data. Future account records will be retained only as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and maintain financial records. Users will have an in-product deletion path before account creation is offered.

Children

The service is not designed to collect personal information from children under 13. Users under the age required for independent consent in their location should use the service only with appropriate permission.
