Houses describe where chart functions act: identity, resources, learning, home, creation, maintenance, partnership, shared stakes, meaning, vocation, community, and retreat.
First house
identity · body · approach · beginnings. The first house describes how a person enters situations, becomes visible, and meets immediate life. Planets here tend to be expressed directly and are difficult to keep private.
02Second house
money · possessions · skills · self-support. The second house concerns resources that can be developed, held, priced, and used. It links money with capacity and the practical question of what sustains life.
03Third house
learning · siblings · local environment · communication. The third house describes everyday cognition, language, short journeys, peers, and the information ecology close to home.
04Fourth house
home · family · ancestry · private foundation. The fourth house describes the private base of life: home, origin, inherited atmosphere, and the conditions required for inward restoration.
05Fifth house
creativity · pleasure · romance · children. The fifth house concerns authored expression, play, risk, courtship, and what is created because vitality seeks form rather than because duty demands it.
06Sixth house
routines · service · labor · health. The sixth house describes maintenance: the repeated work, health practices, obligations, and adjustments that make larger aims viable.
07Seventh house
partnership · contracts · open conflict · projection. The seventh house describes one-to-one encounters with equals, including intimate partnership, business agreements, competitors, and qualities first recognized in others.
08Eighth house
shared money · debt · inheritance · intimacy. The eighth house concerns entanglement: shared assets, obligations, vulnerability, loss, and the transformations that occur when control is distributed.
09Ninth house
higher learning · travel · law · worldview. The ninth house describes the frameworks that organize experience into meaning: education, philosophy, religion, law, publishing, and long journeys.
10Tenth house
career · reputation · authority · public contribution. The tenth house describes visible responsibility, vocation, reputation, and the relationship to authority or institutions.
11Eleventh house
friends · networks · audiences · future aims. The eleventh house concerns alliances, communities, patrons, networks, and the future made possible through coordinated effort.
12Twelfth house
solitude · the unconscious · institutions · release. The twelfth house describes what operates outside ordinary visibility: retreat, confinement, sacrifice, hidden patterns, spiritual practice, and endings that make renewal possible.
